Ultrasonic Humidification Systems

System Description

The humidification systems provided with Hanse Environmental, Inc. chambers utilize the latest in ultrasonic nebulization principles to generate the moisture required in the chamber. The ultrasonic nozzle uses air and water under pressure. Atomized water leaving the nozzle is hit by the air reflected by the resonator as sound waves.  It is then nebulized into very small particles, like a fog, and rapidly absorbed by the air. The resonator is adjusted at the factory for maximum atomization and proper fog pattern. The fog pattern can be narrowed by moving the resonator further from the nozzle tip, and conversely, widened by moving the resonator closer to the tip.

The water used in the humidification system can be demineralized by the optional  D.I. bottle. In addition, a water quality light is included to monitor the quality of the water generated by the D.I. bottle. The D.I. bottles are a mixture of bed resin that contains positive and negative charged resins.  These resins remove the minerals from the water. The D.I. bottle supplied with the Hanse Chamber is a 1 cubic foot bottle.

Hanse can now offer humidity stress as an option to its complete line of eight standard HALT/HASS models.  This is in addition temperature cycling and 6dof vibration.

Humidity is a critical stress for many electronic products.  Hanse is pleased to be the first company in the US to offer this advanced combined environmental stress. It is the result of Hanse's continuing product development program.

HALT/HASS Chamber Summary Specifications

Today we manufacture the largest standard line and what we believe to be the most advance performing HALT/HASS chambers in the industry. We have concentrated our engineering efforts to advance the state-of-the-art of HALT/HASS chamber performance.

Eight models are standard and customized configurations are available. Temperature Cycling or Six-degree-of-freedom (6dof) vibration systems are also available in eight stand-alone models

In addition we design and manufacture specialized environmental chambers, (humidity, corrosive, temperature/humidity, etc.) with extreme performance requirements. Manufacturing processing equipment requiring environmental conditioning are also designed and manufactured. We take pride in providing an equipment response and solution to challenging requirements.

 

In House Testing

We offer HALT/HASS testing in house for customers wishing to evaluate the test method before investing in equipment. We will help design and implement the HALT/HASS test from start to finish and can furnish in house personal to monitor test 24/7. System Features

  • HighRateTM Liquid Nitrogen Cooling System: Direct atomization in control plenum, InfitrolTM proportional control valve for Models VTC-4 and up (Optional for VTC-1.5), and redundant solenoid safety valve.
  • Adjustable Air Flow Plenum: For directing airflow to product. Minimum (4) 3" dia. ports for distributed airflow to product - Models VTC-4 and up. Vibration Exciters: LubeMistTM lubricated vibrators with adjustable ball valves, one for each pneumatic vibrator for low G-level performance using fewer vibrators. SoftStartTM designed vibrators minimize starting shock to products.

Instrumentation

  • Programmable Vibration Control: Programmable vibration ramps, gRMS level, and test duration all synchronized with the temperature controller.
    • Four (4) accelerometers can be monitored simultaneously with optional analyzer.

Options

  • Humidity: Direct Injection, 10 to 85% RH from 25 to 65 oC, Capacitance sensor.
  • HanseViewTM: System control of temperature and vibration. Control, Control/Analyzer, and Control/Analyzer/Data Logger options.
