Privacy Policy
October 2026
Hanse Environmental, Inc. (“Hanse”, “we”), 338 Water St, Allegan, MI 49010, USA, operates www.hanseenv.com, which provides information about our environmental test chambers, vibration systems and related services. This policy explains what information we collect through the website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Hanse is the controller of this information: the company responsible for it.
Information you give us
When you use our contact or quote form, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, organization, website, location, the products and options you are interested in, and your message.
We use this information to answer your inquiry, prepare a quote, and support equipment you have bought from us. We do not sell it.
Who receives it
- Our sales team, which receives your message by email.
- Our sales representatives. If you send your message from a representative’s “Send a message” button on our Sales Rep Locator, that representative receives a copy. We may also pass your inquiry to the representative for your region so they can help you. Our representatives are independent companies in Europe and Asia that sell and support Hanse equipment.
- Service providers that process information on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts the website and runs its spam protection (Turnstile) and visit counting (Web Analytics);
- Postmark (ActiveCampaign, LLC), which delivers the form’s email to us;
- Google LLC, which provides Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement, as described under “Cookies”.
- Where the law requires, for example to comply with a legal obligation or court order.
Information collected automatically
- Hosting. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details (such as the pages you load and your browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
- Spam protection. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated programs. Turnstile processes technical information about your browser and device for this purpose only.
- Videos. Some pages show YouTube videos. A video’s preview image comes from YouTube’s image server, and the YouTube player loads, in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, only when you click to play. YouTube (Google) may then set cookies under its own privacy policy.
- Website analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and page views. It does not use cookies and does not track you across websites.
- Google measurement. If you allow it (see “Cookies”), Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors find and use the site, and Google Ads conversion measurement shows whether our advertising leads to inquiries. You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Only the Google services above set cookies for measurement or advertising, and YouTube when you play a video. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie needed to protect the site; it is not used to track you. The rest of the site, including the contact form, works without Google’s cookies.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google’s cookies stay off unless you click “Accept” in the cookie banner.
- Elsewhere, they are on unless you click “Reject”. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as “Reject”.
- To change your choice, use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. We remember your choice in your browser’s local storage. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Legal basis (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
We use the information you send us to take the steps you ask for before a possible contract and for our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries. We use Google’s cookies only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through “Cookie settings”.
International transfers
Hanse is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you are outside the United States, your information is transferred to the United States, and to our representative’s country if a representative helps you. Where the law requires, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries in our business email and customer records for as long as we need them to serve you, and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. Cloudflare and Postmark keep technical logs for a limited period under their own policies.
Security
We use commercially reasonable means to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, you may also object to or restrict our use of your information, ask for a copy in a portable format, withdraw consent, and complain to your data protection authority.
- In US states with privacy laws (such as California), you may also opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. Click “Reject” in “Cookie settings”, or use Global Privacy Control, to stop Google’s advertising cookies.
To use any of these rights, contact us through our contact form, call 1-269-673-8638, or write to Hanse Environmental, Inc., 338 Water St, Allegan, MI 49010, USA. We will not treat you differently for using them.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
